Terms of Use
Last updated 29 September 2026
These terms cover your use of delo.ie and the Delo app. Delo is run by Eclyde Corporation Limited, a company registered in Ireland ("Delo", "we", "us"). By using Delo you agree to these terms. Nothing in them affects your rights under Irish and EU consumer law.
What Delo is
Delo is a marketplace. The shops and takeaways on Delo sell their own food and goods, set their own prices and menus, and prepare your order. When you order, your contract for the goods is with the shop. Delo takes the order and the payment on the shop's behalf, and arranges delivery where the shop doesn't deliver itself.
Your account
- You must be 16 or over to have an account.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for orders placed from your account.
- Give us a correct name, phone number and delivery address, so the shop and courier can reach you.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app or at delo.ie/delete-account.
Orders and prices
- Prices, deals and delivery fees are shown before you pay, together with any Delo service fee. The total at checkout is what you pay.
- An order is accepted when the shop accepts it. If the shop can't take it, the order is cancelled and you are refunded in full.
- Delivery and collection times are estimates from the shop.
- Allergens are listed as the shop provides them. If you have an allergy, contact the shop before ordering; shops can't always rule out cross-contamination.
Age-restricted items
Alcohol and other age-restricted items are only sold to people aged 18 or over. You may be asked for ID on delivery or collection, and the item won't be handed over without it.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card is charged when you place the order. Refunds go back to the card or wallet you paid with.
Cancellations and problems
- To cancel, contact the shop or email us straight away. Once the shop has started making your order it can't usually be cancelled.
- If something is missing, wrong or doesn't arrive, report it in the app or email hello@delo.ie. We'll work it out with the shop and refund you where it's right to.
- Because food is made to order and perishable, the 14-day cooling-off period for distance sales doesn't apply to it.
Reviews
You can review a shop after a Delo order. Keep reviews honest and about your order: no abuse, personal information, spam or anything unlawful. We may remove reviews that break these rules. Anyone can report a review from the shop page.
Using Delo fairly
Don't misuse Delo: no fraudulent orders or payments, no interfering with the service, and no copying or scraping it. We may suspend accounts that do.
Our responsibility
We take reasonable care to run Delo well. We aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee, or for the shop's own goods beyond what the law requires, but nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version, and we'll tell you about significant changes in the app or by email.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction (you can also use the courts where you live in the EU). Questions: hello@delo.ie. See also our Privacy Policy.
